H. Miller Bros. are making a signiture kitchen design..... 'WHY?'

December

2024

Hey design-lovers,

As a thank you for being a loyal reader of Hugh’s News, I thought I’d use December’s edition to give you an exclusive first look at a rather exciting new development that will be hitting the workshop in the new year....

In the 17 years that we've been making unique, unusual, crafted kitchens, we’ve had a lot of prospective clients tell us the same thing….

'We love your designs, and the quality is superb, but our

budget doesn't stretch to a genuinely original design.

If only we could afford it, we'd be in!!'

This got us thinking …. What if we could create a beautifully made kitchen, that's design-ready with a streamlined commissioning process, and which is crafted, not assembled, from high-quality materials and components that will last, but at a more accessible price point.

So, we set about creating a kitchen that’s all these things and more: one with customisations so it can fit your needs perfectly, and with everything included, from cabinetry to worktops, appliances, delivery and installation, and VAT.

And the result….. The HMB signature kitchen, unmistakably H Miller Bros, with the same unmatched quality that we're known for, at an unexpected price!

You might be wondering….. How can it be the same fantastic quality, but at a lower price point? How??? Great question, and I’m glad you asked…..

Beautiful design, without reinventing the wheel:

By creating a signature kitchen that’s design-ready, with aesthetics and features drawn from our most popular projects, we’ve been able to cut out the back-and-forth of design iterations, whilst maintaining the design quality our clients expect. This saves us time, and you money, without compromising on the things that will make your kitchen a joy to live in and use.

Rationalised choices:

Having been making kitchens and cabinetry for almost 2 decades, we've seen it all. There's rarely an option a client will ask for that we haven't made many times before. From this knowledge and hands on experience, we understand the features and options that are important to you, and what will make a space you’ll love.

We've refined these choices to a core set of details, appliances and worktops that you can pick between. Instead of being paralysed by endless decisions, you can choose the things you like, and which we know work really beautiful with our cabinetry. Instead of blowing your cost plan, you can see how the options stack up in an itemised way, and hone until it works for your budget.

Removing unnecessary and less-popular options has allowed us to optimise our cabinetry, and pass the saving on to you.

A little bit of you:

We make our kitchen cabinetry so that fitting tolerances are built in. This means that, with a few basic measurements from you, we can take account of the inevitable undulations and variabilities of your space, and install everything seamlessly and efficiently, so it looks amazing. This allows us to cut out expensive surveys and travelling time.

If you’re not confident in taking measurements, that’s ok – we can guide you through it on WhatsApp or Zoom – you hold the tape and we’ll take the measurement. It takes around 30 minutes and saves you hundreds. And if you’d prefer us to visit you and take measurements ourselves, that’s fine – we can add this to our scope-of-works.

Some clever moves:

There are some design moves that make constructing your kitchen more efficient, whilst maintaining the quality and often enhancing the functionality. We’ve learned a lot of these tricks over the years, and our signature kitchens is full of them.

For instance, by incorporating 800mm as opposed to 600mm-wide drawers, you get more drawer capacity (due to a reduction in drawer sides and runner zones), and you save on the number of cabinets, drawer boxes, and ironmongery.  Plus 800mm wide drawers are more useful, as you can get big pans and serving dishes into them, when these can be a tight fit in 600mm wide drawers.

Another great move we employ in our signature kitchens is to specify an American-style fridge-freezer over an integrated appliance. These have between 30-50% more capacity over integrated models, and we cut out the time-consuming task of fitting appliances into cabinetry and attaching doors and trims.

So, whats the price.....

Well, this is the exciting bit.... Our signature kitchen starts at £48,000, which includes cabinetry, worktops, appliances, delivery and installation, and VAT.

In the new year, we’ll be releasing loads more info about our new signature kitchen design, including details on the choices and options, and example projects with full, itemised costings, so more to follow and watch-this-space.
